Saturday, February 5^th will be the night for a 70s Flashback! The Piedmont Chapter of the American Red Cross will open the doors to the center of the disco universe! This groovy event will take place for one night and one night only, and YOU are invited to the party!

You will enjoy the hippest, hottest event to hit Spartanburg in decades, as well as all of the fun and excitement surrounding this unique event.  The general admission ticket price of a $50 donation will get you there.  The VIP "Club 54 Party" will impress our top level sponsors and their guests.  Other special guests will be invited.  All proceeds will support your local Red Cross Chapter and allow them to provide vital health and safety services, as well as disaster relief to three counties.

RetroFest will take place at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium.  Complete with disco mirrored balls, beaded curtains, black light posters, bean bag chairs and lava lamps, the Auditorium will be transformed into one huge, funky party!  The night will begin at 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with an exclusive, by invitation only, VIP "Club 54 Party" fit for all disco kings and queens!  There will be an open bar as well; heavy hors d'oeuvres served up by Spartanburg’s premier caterer.  The VIP guests will have an opportunity to meet RetroFest Celebrities.  A live DJ and his laser light show will help you perfect your groove by getting you in a dancin' mood!  There will be disco lessons provided by a Dance Club to help you brush up on the Hustle and to show off your best John Travolta impersonation.  There will be Celebrity Bartenders on hand to help you get down, get funky, and shake your booty.

Highlighting this high energy evening will be live entertainment by the disco-crazed Sleeping Booty Band beginning at 8:00 p.m. until midnight.  Check them out on their website, Sleepingbootyband.com.  Hailing from the 70s, this groovy band will play the hottest disco sounds from the most remembered era in music history!  Guests will dance to songs by K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Blondie, The Bee Gees, Chic, The Jackson 5, The Village People, and many more.  There will be free popcorn, Coke all night and at 10 pm free pizza will be served to all the RetroFest guests.  The music never stops, When the Sleeping Booty Band takes a break, One Big DJ will keep you moving all night. Cash prizes will be awarded to the best dressed and the best disco dancers!  At midnight, Spartanburg’s own Village People will perform everyone's favorite song, "YMCA."  Marriott Spartanburg the RetroFest’s hotel of choice is only a 5 minute walk from the Auditorium and there will be another party from midnight until 2am.   So, what are you waiting for?  The Red Cross needs your support!  Go ahead and pull out all the stops, put on gold chains, mood rings, polyester leisure suits, wide lapel shirts/jackets, halter-tops, bell-bottoms, platform shoes, and don't forget the big hair.
